Mayor Christine Marick is currently serving her third term on the Brea City Council. She was first elected in 2012 and re-elected in 2016 and 2020. She previously served as Mayor in 2016 and 2019. Prior to her election to the City Council, she served on the City’s Planning Commission. Mayor Marick currently serves on Orange County’s Public Library Advisory Board and Waste Management Commission, as the Chair of the City’s Investment Advisory Committee, and on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Sanitation District as the Chair of the Administration Committee. Mayor Marick was recently appointed by the Orange County Board of Supervisors to the newly formed Commission on the Status of Women and Girls.

Born and raised in Washington, DC, Mayor Marick earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University in Foreign Service: International Economics and her MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Mayor Marick has worked in diverse industries, including government, educational services, and investment management. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Brea-Placentia-Yorba Linda.

Mayor Marick has called Brea home since 2003. She and her husband were initially drawn to Brea for its hometown feel, abundant shopping and dining, and convenient location. They now appreciate Brea’s high level of community services and citizen involvement as well as the high-quality schools. Mayor Marick is a member of the Brea Rotary Club and the Committee Chair of Boy Scout Troop 811 sponsored by St. Angela Merici Church.
